Pet care experience
My husband Dean and I are long-time animal lovers/owners. I grew up with both dogs and cats in the home, and since then haven't spent more than a few months at a time without a dog in home. I'm honestly I'm not sure why people would want to live like that! Dean has had as many as 4 dogs at a time, along with cats and raising chickens and goats before moving to New Orleans. We're experienced with pet-sitting for others as well, and will treat your pet like family while you're away. We're currently available for home visits, walking, or pet-sitting in our home or yours. We're both musicians, so days are extremely flexible to allow for plenty of attention for your pet. We're happy to get some exercise with walks throughout the day if you and your pup desire. Let us know if they have a favorite spot around town, and we'd be happy to take them.

We have a large apartment with an open concept, and pets will have access to the entire place. There is a fenced backyard for quick outings, but they will never be left outside alone. Pets on furniture is not an issue for us, but if you would prefer, we will maintain your house rules in our home as well. If we are staying in your home, we will follow your instructions for care of your pet and be respectful of your space and boundaries.

A typical day
Dogs will be taken outside first thing in the morning (whenever THEY get up). We would typically take them for a long walk after breakfast. Throughout the day we'll keep them company with lots of pets, and keep them stimulated with toys or treat games (if allowed). We are fairly close to Audubon park, so that will likely be an afternoon outing most days. If they're comfortable on car rides, we'd be happy to take them along anywhere.

We have an extremely flexible schedule as part-time musicians, and otherwise most of our time is spent at home, going for walks, and visiting parks. Dogs would be a welcomed addition to our outside excursions!
