How I Became a Dog Walker and Pet Sitter - I am Erzebet, owner of Zen Dog Sitting. I have been working with dogs since my teens. I love interacting with animals and I feel I have a special connection with them. As a child I was constantly annoying my parents by rescuing lost or injured animals, either if it was a baby dove fallen out of it's nest or a stray dog. Finally my parents gave in one day and got a family dog, but with one condition, I had to take him to the local dog park every day. I could not have been happier! I have had the passion for working with dogs ever since. As a dog owner myself, I have always loved to go jogging and hiking with my dog Mason and later with my neighbors dogs too. In 2010 I started my first pet care business, Urban Dog Excursions, a neighborhood dog walking service in Seattle. In 2015 I sold my business when I moved to North County San Diego. But I missed my furry friends so much I decided to continue working with dogs and formed Zen Dog Sitting, a neighborhood dog walking and pet sitting service. Now I have the opportunity to share my love of animals with pet owners and their pets all over the neighborhoods of San Marcos and Carlsbad, CA from October through May, as well as in Mill Creek, Everett, WA from May through September every year. I am licensed, insured and pet CPR certified by the Red Cross. I have a respect for all living things and your pet's safety is my top priority. I believe in providing a safe and loving environment for all pets with engaging, fun activities and a lot of exercise to keep them healthy and happy. I take my client’s dogs on leashed private walks, to pet appointments or stay in their homes over night when needed. I would love to help you with all of your pet sitting needs and pamper your loved pets just as you would. I will make sure all of their needs are met so they can feel “Zen” while you are gone!
