Hello! For over 15 years, I have been a professional animal trainer; training and caring for a wide variety of animal species. This has allowed me to have in-depth knowledge about the best animal care practices and techniques. While I have been a dog owner for my entire life, I also have over 10 years of dog-sitting experience, caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and abilities. Owning a dog myself, I am a firm believer in creating respectful, engaging, and compassionate relationships with our animals. To me, they are like family and deserve the best of us! While most of my experience is with marine mammals, I am currently in the process of receiving my Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) certification, as I plan to make dog training, boarding, and behavioral consulting my next animal care adventure. I also have experience managing a veterinary practice so not only am I extremely familiar with canine behavior and common health and behavior issues, I have fostered many relationships with veterinarians and veterinary technicians in our community who are amazing resources for your animals health. I currently am a Professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), the Veterinary Hospital Manager's Association (VHMA), and I sit on the Board of Directions for the International Marine Animal Trainers' Association (IMATA).
