Where to begin? Okay... so I am an all-around animal lover, and dogs just kind of happen to be my favorite! I'm that person that has to stop to pet every dog I see walking down the street- I can't help it, dogs just make me happy! I grew up SURROUNDED by dogs. My neighbors always had Pit-bulls, that would attack you with their tails and tongues- it was pretty awesome! When I was 5, my mom brought home my first very-own pup- George the Shih-Tzu. He was my responsibility (when I was home from school, of course). I learned a lot about dogs from him- he was pretty cool. By the time I was 7 or 8, my dad had a total of 8 dogs living in his house: Cocoa the Chocolate Lab, Crystal and Ruby the Huskies, Leon the Old English Sheepdog, Bella and Oreo the Pit-bulls, Duchess the Golden-lab and Shannon the Bernese Mountain Dog-Lab mix. Every last one of them was my snuggle-buddy/play-mate! When I was 12 my mom decided to add another addition to the family, Winston the female English Bulldog (she just HAD to have a Bulldog named Winston). George, Winston and I would play all day, and snuggle all night. By 15, I was spending time with my four-legged buddy Lola the Weimaraner after school, while her human-mom was working. We would take 30 minute walks around the neighborhood, go to the park, have a late lunch together (obviously she had kibble and I had people-food), then Lola would have her after lunch snacks. Since Lola didn't like to be home alone, I would often sit with her until her human-mom would come home because the thought of her crying at the door broke my heart! Now I have my own four-legged companion, Ginger the Coonhound-Lab mix. She's super energetic, enjoys long walks, likes playing with her toys but adores playing with other furry friends (her human-dad works at a doggy daycare in Manhattan and she gets along wonderfully with all of them). Ginger and I LOVE making new friends- both furry and the not-so-furry kinds, so please, feel free to bring your fur-baby on and make Ginger one happy pup!
