I’ve grown up with dogs all my life. We have always had at least one dog in our home at all times, and I am comfortable with both small and large breeds. I have trained with puppies and am in-tune with picking up on each dogs personalities. I have watched numerous family members, neighbors, and friends dogs. Breeds I have lived or spent extensive time with include cocker spaniels, huskies, shih tzus, mastiffs, pugs, pit bull mixes, German shepherds, golden retrievers and labs. I am fine to work with all dog breeds as long as they are not trained to be aggressive towards strangers or other dogs. Car rides, hikes, and trips to the dog park are all fine with me if you have an active dog. Or if you have a lazy dog, snuggles are always okay too! I don’t restrict dogs from my furniture and will treat them like they are part of the family. I am also comfortable with administering medications and working with handicapped dogs. I previously lived with a 110lb German shepherd with a spinal injury as well as a family dog who had chronic limes disease and a restricted diet. I take all health and safety requirements seriously, so it is not a problem for me to work with.
