Pet care experience
Hi!! My name is Erin. My husband and I are both former Police Officers. We are now living our dream by working from home, being with our kids, and living on our little homestead. I have been taking care of animals for 10+ years now. We have 3 dogs, 37 chickens, 4 cats, a pony, a mule, 4 turkeys, 2 pigs, and 4 goats! I usually pet sit regularly for people as they go out of town and their animals always love the farm. Last year I was dog sitting and the female ended up going into labor with her puppies early and I got to help deliver them! My husband also grew up fostering dogs and has always had 3+ dogs in his home. He’s been around several litters and is very up to date in administering medications. He’s a retired Army veteran of 21 years. ** This is a farm! Your dog will absolutely get dirty while they are here! (That means they had EXTRA fun!!!) There are big open fields so please make sure they are on a good flea and tick medicine as well as being up to date on vaccines. We have big sand pits, a pond, livestock poop, and all other farm messes. Please let me know if you’d like to add an “exit bath.”

Absolutely wonderful! Our Stella fit right into their routine. Erin sent daily updates and pictures of their adventures and funny stories. Stella was introduced to many other animals and experiences which is wonderful for a young pup. Can’t thank her and her family enough for taking in our wild pup for 10 days.
Erin was absolutely wonderful. Sadie loved being with her and her family and we will definitely call her again.
Erin took care of Sam the cat for a weekend for me. She came to our home twice a day and fed and loved Sam for the weekend. She is very caring and loves animals. I would recommend her for any pet care.

We have 18 acres and lots of fenced in pastures! We take our dogs for walks around the property line daily. While on the farm, your dog will get plenty of outdoor time and playtime. If your dog doesn’t like to be active, we have an outdoor couch they can lay on and get some sunshine! We are a very active family.

Let me know if your dog doesn’t like machines like tractors or 4 wheelers! We do a lot of farming work and some animals don’t like those noises. We will be sure not to run anything like that around them if they are nervous. Definitely don’t want to make their stay stressful! We also have 3 dogs of our own (and sometimes more if we are boarding others) and kids.. please let me know if your dog has any food or toy aggressions. It’s also helpful to bring anything that your pet will need to feel like “home.” Beds, crates, toys, bones, etc.
A typical day
We spend as much time outside as we can! We have farm animals and kids. My daughter wants to be a veterinarian and has such a soft heart for animals.. she wants to walk them all day and play fetch if they like to! We take walks around the property every evening. We have a creek and a small pond. We usually pass by this on on our walks. Some dogs head straight in while others stand and watch. Your dog will absolutely get dirty while on the farm! (That means they had EXTRA fun!!!) We have big sand pits, a pond, horse poop, and all other farm messes. Please let me know if you’d like to add an “exit bath.”

Availability
My husband and I both work from home. I spend a lot of my time outside on the back deck with my computer. My animals (and kids) always enjoy the company and the free play outside. I’m available and home 24/7!
