Pet care experience
I have an 9 year old male pit/boxer mix in lowertown St. Paul. We live literally across the street from the Chuck & Don's dog park (attached to CHS field). I've been watching friends' dogs either at my home or at theirs for several years, and now have many Rover clients that trust me with their best friends. My dog has been through training with Canine Coach, and the local dog parks have provided a lot of situational awareness and training for how to deal with dogs of all sizes. I make sure our guest dogs get plenty of individual attention and solo walk time, because honestly my introvert dog needs a break sometimes. Living in lowertown brings some challenges. If your dog is wary of elevators, fireworks, or has trouble being polite on leash, please let me know!

Erin and her partner were great! They were communicative and worked hard to make my 6 month old puppy comfortable. One week before leaving on our trip, our pup unexpectedly went into heat. They were very understanding and accommodating. I would definitely send my dog with them again!
Erin was a great host for Feta. She let me know how things were going in detail, which I really appreciated! She seems kind and caring, and knows dog behavior well.

I have a very well socialized dog, Zam, who is very patient and calm with everyone. We also have an extra crate in the condo for guests. For visits and walks, we adhere to St. Paul leash laws and only take dogs to the dog park if they’ll thrive and play.

If your dog is working through potty training, crate training, or there's anything else you're working on, I'm happy to help reinforce those desired behaviors. Your dog will need to be able to cohabitat with Zam, and I'll need some clues about whether the dog park is a good idea or not.
A typical day
We live in lowertown St. Paul and have access to the Chuck & Don's dog park. Depending on the weather, and the time of visits, we'll also likely visit Battle Creek Dog Park, High Bridge Dog Park, or even the Woodbury Dog Park. Walks around Mears Park or down on Shepard Rd. by the river are also likely.

I currently work from home full time, and have settled into a groove with my dog, Zam. We usually do 3-4 outs a day including a trip or two to the park across the street, short walks around Lowertown, and/or hour long walks down by the river.
