Energetic Work From Home Dog Mom!
Pet care experience
My name is Erin and I am a Management Professional who works from the comfort of my own home. As a pet parent myself, I understand how hard it is to find an economical, yet safe and loving dog care solution. I find myself in a position with the time and space on my hands to help other pet parents find that very solution. Boarding kennels can be frightening experiences for some dogs, why not leave the care of your best friend to a warm, loving, home environment? I only keep two dogs at a time (maximum) so my house will not feel like a boarding facility. Your dog will get the individualized attention they experience every day in your own home! For the last 25 years I have been the primary care giver to my own personal dogs. I have raised several dogs from puppyhood well into their senior years. I have 15 years of dog rescue, rehabilitation and foster care experience, specializing in larger breeds that some would consider hard to handle. I am a trained ASPCA volunteer and even spent part of a summer caring for abused pit bulls at a nationally recognized animal sanctuary in Utah. I am experienced in administering first aid, from CPR to insulin injections. My Veterinarian and I are on a first name basis and his office is 3 blocks from my house! For as long as I can remember, dogs have always been a passion of mine! When I was in college I wrote freelance articles for an online magazine and blog that specialized in dog care. In my early 20's I worked as a basic obedience dog trainer at a national pet care chain. I am the god mother to the dogs of my close friends and family and I consistently find myself answering the phone to give advice when my friends are in need of a subject matter expert on caring for their canine companions. I guess dogs are just my thing!
Reviews
Beyond our expectations! Our strong willed, energetic pup was in the best hands. Erin was patient and respectful. Her home is clean and yard is perfect for playing. We were updated throughout the days she cared for him, with pictures and notes. The experience and knowledge she has made her by far the best sitter we’ve ever had.
Erin is the best, watched my dog on short notice. Great attitude
Erin stepped in to take care of my puppy after the original sitter wasn’t able to continue while I was out of town. She saved my weekend vacation and gave Otis a vacation of his own. I got the cutest updates and photos and felt 100% at ease knowing my sweet boy was being loved on and taken care of. I couldn’t be happier with the experience!
Couldn’t imagine anyone taking better care of my baby!

I have a fenced in yard and two senior dogs. I take care and follow proper safety steps when introducing dogs. Realizing that not all pooches always get along (or have matching energy levels), I have crates strategically set up throughout the home with a finished basement, main level, and upstairs master. My dogs are old and love hanging out in the basement where it is the coolest on these hot summer days. I am able to socialize dogs who are able, but provide a rotation system if for any reason any of the dogs in the home show any sign of not getting along. I am ASPCA volunteer trained on socializing and introducing dogs of all types and sizes!
Information Erin L. would like to know about your pet
No breed discrimination here, all are welcome! I have years of experience rehabilitating what some would consider "aggressive" breeds. No dog is too small either! One of my favorite dogs to watch is my Mom's miniature Dachshund, Harley. Here is a basic list of what I would want to know about your pet before sitting: - How much and how often do you feed - Are there any medications to administer - Are there places they don't like to be touched and what is their favorite "spot" to be touched - Would you like a bath administered during their stay - Do you have any specific commands or hand gestures you use when giving basic obedience commands - Are they good in their crates or do they require extra TLC in this area
A typical day
I live on a quiet, tree lined street perfect for walks and have a fenced yard with a large shade tree for lounging. I enjoy sitting in my hammock chair and tossing the ball or tugging the rope with my dogs because a tired dog is a happy sitter!
