Fenced yard, one client at a time

Pet care experience

My husband Dave and I are reliable, attentive, caring, dog lovers. We live on a quarter acre of land with a big fenced-in yard, so your pup will have lots of room to run, explore, and play. We have been dog sitting through Rover for about four years and really enjoy it. Our dog Lani is always very happy to host a new friend!

Erin and Dave are amazing!! They sent lots of pictures and videos, and took care of my girl like she was their own. I would recommend them to anyone and will absolutely book with them in the future!

Erin and David worked hard to help my anxious pup feel at home. They sent photos and updates regularly. Highly recommend!

Our dog had the best time staying with Erin and Dave for a week while we were out of town! Erin was super responsive and sent tons of photos and updates, and there was great communication and clarity prior to drop off and during his stay. We will definitely book with them again for future trips!

Erin and her husband are the best! They have watched our dog for us a few times now and I know she always has the best time and is well taken care of! Erin sends plenty of photo updates and always keeps us updated on how our dog is doing. We are so glad that found Erin and 100% recommend her if you are looking for a kind, caring and attentive dog sitter!

Safety, trust & environment

For safety: When we aren't home, we use a gate to separate Lani and our guest dog(s). We make sure the dogs are supervised when together. Please plan to provide a crate if your dog cannot be left out alone. Bedtime: Your dog must be able to sleep on the lower floor of the house while we are on the upper floor. We have white carpet in our bedroom and do not make exceptions for this. If your dog has separation anxiety, this will likely not be a good fit. Meet and Greets: We do not accept stays without first having a meet and greet. Prior to booking, we will set up a time for our dogs to meet and play in our back yard, to ensure that it is a good fit. RETURN CLIENTS ONLY: Please note that there are occasional stretches on our calendar that we will mark unavailable because we are not accepting new clients, due to certain circumstances or work obligations. If you are a returning client, please reach out to us about our availability. We may be able to accommodate if we already know your dogs temperament and needs.

Information Erin L. would like to know about your pet

Are there any behavior traits your dog has that I should be aware of before walking or sitting? Is your dog house-trained or crate-trained? Will they be okay sleeping in a separate room? Does your dog have any health issues or needs? Any food allergies or preferences? Is your dog okay with their paws being wiped off after going outside on rainy/muddy days? Can your dog go up and down a few steps to go between the house and the yard? (All of our entrances have at least four steps). *Dogs must have up to date vaccinations to stay, and must not have any communicable diseases or illnesses.

A typical day

Hikes on trails and greenways Walks through the neighborhood A trip to a dog-friendly patio at a restaurant, coffee shop, or brewery (if you are comfortable with this) Playtime in our large fenced-in yard Lots of time playing fetch, chase, or tug with our pup! *We never bring dogs to a dog park or off leash location as a safety precaution.

I work ~6 hours in person four days a week and one full day from home (usually on Friday). My husband also works a hybrid remote/in-office job close by. We enjoy getting out for walks with the dogs in the mornings and/or evenings (if your dog needs a mid-afternoon walk, it may not be a good fit with our work schedules). We also have a great yard for wandering and playing fetch. On weekends, we like to hang out on the back deck while the dogs play in the yard, or go for longer walks or hikes.
