Pet care experience
I have extensive veterinary experience and am currently a student at Purdue’s College of Veterinary Medicine. From this, I have learned a great deal about animal care, training, and treatment. I will care for your animals as if they are my own. As a student at Purdue, I have a bit of flexibility between my classes & availability on weekends. I can easily help out with a morning or evening walk, or I could stop by to feed them and run around in the yard with them. I am also happy to do overnight stays if your pet would like some company in the evening! While visiting your home I will make every effort to ensure that your pet feels safe and comfortable. I always allow for a long greeting when I arrive so they can feel at ease around me. I will be sure to keep everything neat and clean up any messes or accidents that may occur, while giving you a detailed explanation of everything I’m doing.

Erin is AMAZING!!! She took care of my Coco pretty well. She fallows all my instructions and she was so kind with him. Also, she sent me a lot of pictures of him. Was so responsible with his eat times and really respectful with the house. He loves her! Definitely I can recommend her to anyone!!

Erin did such a great job! She took wonderful care of our two cats over the holidays. We especially appreciated that she called us right away when she noticed a problem with the auto feeder that was supposed to auto feed them 3 meals a day. If not for Erin noticing that problem (based only on our cats’ discontented meowing), our cats would have been so hungry during our 4 night trip away! Thank you, Erin!

Safety is always my highest priority when caring for pets. I am trained to identify signs of heat exhaustion as well as other health concerns, and to subsequently provide initial assessments and care. For any outside activities (walks/park/playing outside), I always bring water with me, walk in the shade as much as possible, and stop for breaks as needed in order to prevent any issues. I will do my best to follow your regular routine to ensure normalcy for your pet. I understand the challenges of having a reactive (or just really stubborn) dog and will work to avoid any stressors that may come up.

If your dog has any special needs or medications, please let me know and I would be more than happy to accommodate them. As a vet tech, i have plenty of experience treating animals for chronic conditions and administering medications, both orally and by injection.
A typical day
I am committed to creating a tailored experience for the individual needs of you and your pet. If your dogs are high energy, I'd be happy to take them on as many long walks as they need and we can play endless games of catch or tug of war at the house. Though, if your babies are more of the couch potato type, I would gladly welcome my lap to cuddles from them. If you'd like, I can bathe them and trim their nails so you come home to a freshly cleaned pup!
