Pet care experience
I've been caring for animals of all kinds since I was in high school. I've been hired by friends, family and strangers to care for their pets while they are on vacation as well as volunteered at animal shelters for the last 15 years. In more recent years, I have added specialized care to my resume in terms of needing to administer medicine for diabetic animals. I also have personal experience with caring for chickens! I have a passion for caretaking and animals have a special place in my heart in the work I do.

I am only able to offer care for your pet in your home at the moment. I can housesit anywhere within 10 miles from my residence and I can do drop ins within 5 miles from my residence. I'm happy to care for any pet to the capacity the owner would like and is comfortable with. I am always so happy to spend extra time with your pet if they have separation anxiety or anything of the sort. The most important thing for me as a caretaker is that the animal is comfortable and happy and feels cared for.

I like to know specifics about how a dog enjoys their playtime as well as other particulars regarding routine and food. I find that keeping the routine the same keeps the dog happier especially if they tend to miss their owner. I also would like to know if your dog has a history of aggression, biting, or needs to stay away from children or other animals in case we are going out to a park or for a walk—it’s important for me to know the dogs boundaries around these circumstances.
A typical day
I love spending time with dogs and playing. If the client has a yard, we may spend a significant amount of time out there playing if the weather is nice and the dog is enjoying it. I love going for walks so taking a dog along is always a bonus. Finally, if the client is ok with it, I’m also happy to take the dog to local parks in the area to mix things up. Playing with toys inside is also a necessity for any dog I care for—especially if the weather is keeping us inside.

Availability
I currently work from home Monday-Thursday primarily from 8am-3pm-if you want me for house sitting, I can work from your home easily as long as I have wifi access. I also periodically have commitments to babysit for a couple of families for date nights and after school pick ups. My general availability is up to date on my Rover calendar through December 2023. When you make a request for particular dates, I will be transparent about any commitments I have during the dates of your request before we confirm the booking.
