Pet care experience
Currently serving Vashon-Maury Islands Only!! I'm an island dog walker looking to be an asset to island pets and their parents! I offer dog walking and drop-ins. My schedule is a little tight right now, so I am only offering 30-minute walks and drop-ins. I have experience caring for farm animals and household pets, including senior and special needs pets. I am currently a veterinary technician student at Pima Medical Institute and will be graduating this fall. I am certified in pet CPR and first aid, pet nutrition, have knowledge in animal behavior and training, and have about 12 years of experience with animals. I have two dogs of my own and I always strive to provide the care that I would expect from someone taking care of my dogs.

Erin made fast friends with our two year old Labradoodle and we could tell from the start that she had a great understanding of dogs. She was dependable and attentive during a week of drop-in visits and really committed to providing the best possible care for our pup — a great find!

Erin was great! My cat, Lily, is the proverbial "scaredy cat" but she and Erin became best friends by the 2nd visit. We just booked another week of visits with Erin and it feels great knowing Lily will be in such good hands.
First time using rover.com; we like booking and paying through the website. It's also easy to communicate with the sitter. Erin sent pictures each time she visited--it was nice to receive an email each time and seeing a photo! We will use Erin again.

I always schedule a meet & greet to see if everyone is a good match. Please tell me about: - Commands so I am consistent with your dogs training. - Meal times and feeding instructions. - If you're dog has any allergies - If your dog is up-to-date on their vaccines. - If your dog requires any medications, when do I administer them, and how. - Does your dog have any toy, furniture, treats/food aggression? How do you manage it? - Does your dog have any aggression and/or a bite history? - Does your dog have separation anxiety? Are they okay being alone if I had to step out for a few hours? - Does your dog have any triggers (ex. fireworks, cars, bikes, other dogs, etc.)? I will go over this during our meet and greet and I will also ask that you leave an itinerary as well.
A typical day
Updates and photos are included in drop-ins and walks. Drop ins: I care for your pet in the comfort of your home and try to stick to their routine as much as possible to provide a stress free environment. The visits are 30 minutes a day and I’ll send photos and updates. Dog walking: Around your home or our local trails. I love taking photos and using bring my camera to get professional photos of your dogs. Walks are at least 30 minutes.
