I have a strong love and passion for dogs and other animals. It seems Ive always formed a connection upon meeting all types of breeds, shapes, and sizes of the furry bundles of joy that Im fortunate to encounter. I am a single-mom with two boys but have them with me a tiny bit more than 50% of the week. Both my boys, ages 7 and 12, are animal lovers as well and both have assisted me on many of my jobs with dog-walking and pet sitting. However, more than likely they will not need to be assisting me while I’m on a job. I will be sure to respect all wishes of the owners and am very understanding of those that request my children are not present. My boys and I don’t have our own pet as of now but we have several opportunities to love on our friends' dogs and the dogs of families I've previously worked for. For several years (about 14) I have worked with children in Marin County with a variety of special needs as well as those who do not have special needs. Almost all of these families have dogs and whenever I agreed to care for the children I agreed to additionally care for their dogs or other pets. This has been a wonderful experience for my boys and I and truly a dream that has played out wonderfully for all of us. More recently, I have been house and pet sitting for new families without children and it has been a wonderful experience. I cannot think of one pet that I have not fallen in love with and I feel in my heart that this is a great way for me to not only earn a little extra money but to most importantly give and receive comfort, love, and friendship to a deserving living creature.
