Hello! My name is Erika and I was raised with and have always owned dogs. A house is not a home without one and I understand how much your dog can mean to you, just as mine mean so much to me. Keeping your dog safe and happy is my highest priority. About Me: I truly LOVE dogs and love to play with and spoil them. I'm 31, married, and have 2 children, ages 6 and 12, who have been raised to love and respect the boundaries of dogs. I work part-time on night shift as an RN. Because I work 2 nights/week, my schedule is pretty flexible and working night shift allows me to be home everyday. The nights I am at work, my husband is present so there is always someone home. My Dogs: I have a lively Chihuahua and a 3-year-old female and one-year-old male German shepherd. My dogs are kept up to date on their shots and flea/tick/heartworm preventative, my Chihuahua is neutered, and my female German shepherd is spayed. If you have a small dog and are concerned about him/her staying with a German shepherd, please do not hesitate to come meet Katana and Cyrus! Katana and Cyrus were raised from the day I brought them home to be calm and gentle with smaller dogs. They are very friendly and get along with every dog they meet, big and small. Katana is very smart and both will even completely leave a dog alone if I tell them to. Katana and I have completed puppy preschool and obedience classes and she's earned her AKC Advanced Canine Good Citizen and Novice Trick Dog titles. I utilize positive-reinforcement to build and strengthen my relationship with my dogs. I enjoy learning about dog behavior and understand the importance that exercise, mental stimulation, and structured walks have in maintaining health and reducing boredom. My dogs are all crate-trained and only my German shepherds are still crated when we are not home, just to ensure their safety. They are not left alone for more than 2-3 hours, if I have any errands to run during the day. When I'm home, the dogs are not crated, and they are free to relax on the couch or play inside or out in our fenced yard with a covered deck. Why Choose Me?
