Pet care experience
Dogs have been a major part of my life for the past 27 years and, I have had the fortune of being able to care for them professionally over the past 2 years. I am also a visual artist, and I find that caring for animals can be meditative and helpful in my artwork. I have experience caring for a variety of pups, with issues both behavioral and health-wise. When your dog is with us, they will become part of our home. I spend much of my time outdoors, and I love having a 'partner in crime' while we meet new people and sniff new sniffs! Erika was great as usual with Franklin. She kept us updated with pictures and status for Franklin even as he wasn't feeling well for a bit of the weekend that he stayed with her. We always know Franklin will be in good hands with Erika.
Franklin had another great stay with Erika! As usual she was great with him and quick to respond to any texts and proactive with updates and pictures.
Erica a super reliable and I never have to worry about my furry kids when they are in her care!

Prior to sitting a pup, I usually like to meet them and have a little introduction. I love all types of breeds and personalities. It's fun to see how individual they can be!
A typical day
We will enjoy long walks along the East River Park and sunny play dates in the Tompkins Square dog run. I would love to show your pup around the East Village too! Our apartment has many cozy nap spots and our building is very dog friendly. My husband and I both work from home so your pup can expect frequent walks and lots of snuggle time. For longer stays (and with prior consent), we take trips to visit my grandmother at the Jersey shore or my parents in the Pennsylvania countryside. My entire family is made up of dog lovers, and our pups tend to run the show! The Shore property features a fenced in yard with doggie door access, and is located steps from the beach. The farm is set on 67 acres of land, and has a fenced in yard, as well as, a fishing pond that the dogs love. I can whole heartedly say that when your dog is with us, they will be one of the family :)
