I have been around dogs my whole life, really! When I was younger my dad breed black labs for hunting. I frequently went hunting with my dad and his female dog, Midnight. When Midnight have a litter, she’d let me crawl around and play with her pups not long after birth. We had Spaniels, and a couple of mutts thrown in the mix. After I moved back to the Amarillo I had a Mastiff. She was petite at only 98 pounds. Unfortunately she was sick, too when she came to us and didn’t survive long. I have also had a golden doodle but a very good (as close as a sister) friend was over with her “allergic to everything” son. He fell in love with our dog. When they got home his mom called to say that he had had no allergy symptoms. I couldn’t tell that little boy no and gave him my baby but with a very liberal visitation schedule ? Now I have a Maltese and a Yorkie but I’m still holding out hope for the Great Dane I have always wanted!
