Pet care experience
I am a proud owner of two pups (3rd and 4th of my adult life) and they are my everything. When I am away, I want a person to care for them as much as I would. Nobody wants to think your kids are not getting the love, petting and kisses that they are accustomed to...and I would certainly be this person for you and your family. All of my experience is through dog ownership (around 30 years) and I am available most days and times (extremely flexible; however, 7pm and later visits are difficult). I have an exceptional knack for engaging with all pups and could be a great fit for you as well:) I pride myself in administering the care and love that you hope to expect when trusting another with your animal family member. If you want your pet let out 75 times a day, well your pet is going to be let out 76 times that day! It is important to communicate any issues/situations that I should know prior to me caring for your pet. Ex: escape artist, crazy neighbor, pet anxiety (separation issues, thunderstorms) With that said, I will do my best to make sure those needs are taken are of so you can enjoy your time away. Thank you for your consideration, -Erika My availability certainly stands out from other sitters. However, after 7pm visits have become quite difficult, so picking another sitter for those later drop in visits may be best. Outside of those late drop ins, I’m available most days/times. Obviously weekends and holiday weeks become quite busy so reaching out as soon as you are able is appreciated. I do have some other clients that are not on Rover so my days can fill up quickly, but I will do my best to accommodate everyone. Your pet will never be left alone while I’m caring for them. If they are outside, I’ll be right there with them! Rain? We will be under the umbrella together:) I am a pet sitter full time so I believe I’m able to accommodate most clients better than most. However, during the Packer season, I am NOT available during or after game days. It’s my one slot of time during the week that I absolutely need free to enjoy watching the game. If you are a Packer fan, you’ll understand:) Communication is key when caring for you pet. If your pet is a runner, or hider, or biter, or has any anxiety at all, this is key to be able to care for your pet properly. Any information is welcome. This communication is key during our meet and greets and is important to have saved in your pet’s profile and/or have written down at your home. Our pets do act different when not around us, versus when a stranger is present, so all information is appreciated.

Chief, our 8 week old GSP loved his two visits from Erika! She took him potty, played with him in the yard and house! She also sent lots of updates and pictures which I loved! We will be using Erika for all future needs!!!!

Depending on weather, it is ideal to be outside the whole time with your pet(s). If that isn’t possible, I’ll do everything I can to play and keep their attention while I’m there. For cats, if they will play, I’ll play. I generally get on the ground with them:) If I’m chopped liver (cats often feel this way…even to you, their owner:) I may try a couple of tricks but 9 times out of 10, I will head out before the 30 min is up. Most often if cats are not out playing, they are anxious and scared so it’s best to be on my way:) I’m pretty sure once I’m out the door, they breathe a sigh of relief that the stranger danger is gone!

Medications, feeding times, age, activity level, favorite toys, kid friendly, and if they enjoy other animals. Separation issues, anxiety problems, are they allowed on the furniture/sleep in the bed…some of these may not be as important to you, but are very important to a new person learning your pet’s behavior. Pets do act differently when their owners are not around.
A typical day
Depending on if your pup enjoys lounging around, or just a toss of a ball, all activities will be what your pup enjoys the most. Not what I would prefer.

Availability
I am not available during Packer games. It’s my joy to watch the whole game without worrying if I need to care for any pets. Thanks for understanding! Before games can be accommodate:) Pet care is what I do full time. With that said, I’m often out the door by 6am so night drop ins/walks are not in my vocabulary. I’ve tried, but after 7pm is just too difficult.
