Registered Vet Tech to your home!
Pet care experience
I am a part-time Registered Veterinary Technician at a local pet hospital. I live in a 17’ teardrop travel trailer with my 4 pets! Typically, I travel around Northern California, but things are changing! I currently alternate between Nicolaus and West Sacramento. I would love the opportunity to provide services to you and your fur babies! I have had a deep passion for animals all my life. I grew up with cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, and the occasional outsiders like my macaw and opossum. I have always known that I wanted a career in helping animals, and I graduated from Vet Tech school in 2017. With my training, I can provide excellent attention to the well-being of your pet(s) and care for them as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting your furry (or not-so-furry) friends! HOUSE SITTING: - I accept bookings for ALL pet species, breeds, ages, and sizes. This includes exotics and livestock. - During my stay, I can bring in the mail, water the plants, skim the pool, etc. Let me know what you need and I will be happy to discuss it with you! - I offer nail trims and anal gland expressions at an additional cost, but only if your pet allows me to do it on my own. - If your pet needs medication, there MAY or may not be an additional fee, depending on the route of delivery and level of difficulty. - If your animal(s) and my 50-pound spayed female dog get along, it would be amazing to have her stay with us in the home. If not, that is totally okay! I will just need to go visit her at my mom’s house daily. DROP-IN VISITS: - I offer drop-in visits between 15 and 60 minutes long up to twice a day. - I accept bookings for ALL pet species, breeds, ages, and sizes. This includes exotics and livestock. - During my visit, I can bring in the mail, water the plants, skim the pool, etc.

Reviews

We are so thankful for the incredible care Ericka provided to our dog while we were away. Our very large dog has anxiety and can be aggressive towards new people, but Ericka handled everything with so much patience, kindness, and understanding. From the first visit, Ericka took the time to build trust and connect with our dog in a calm, gentle way. We received regular updates and photos that truly put our minds at ease. She went above and beyond staying with him during the 4th of July holiday, and her calm presence made all the difference. If you’re looking for a dependable, compassionate sitter—especially for a pet with anxiety—we highly recommend Ericka.

We are so grateful to have found Erika! She is amazing with our dogs. She is very responsive and a great communicator. We could go on our trip feeling at ease knowing our dogs and house were in really good hands. It was a great experience from start to finish. Thank you Erika!

Erika was amazing- so responsive and treated our little dog and cats like they were her own. We hope to hire her every time we go out of town!

My babies are well taken care of and content every time we come back from vacation. We are so happy to have found Erika!

Availability
I work in Natomas Crossing, Northern Sacramento 4 days per week with 8-hour shifts. These shift times are variable and change from week to week. I have 3 days off, typically Tuesday Friday Saturday. Drop-ins will be completed around my work schedule which typically comes out 3-6 weeks in advance. For house-sitting requests on days I work in the hospital, the pet(s) must be able to be left alone for up to 10 hours during the day. For house-sitting requests on days I do not work in the hospital, I may or may not leave occasionally to assist other pet parents in our area.
