Pet care experience
I'm a dog lover with some extra time that would love to help anyone who needs it. For two years, I regularly cared for a special needs dog while her owner was away at grad school. Then after moving to Kansas City, I spent a good three months training an adopted dog for a dear friend. Needless to say, now the dog is dear friend too. Erik and I have been best friends for 16 years and in the 8 years that I have had my rescue German Short Haired Pointer Dexter, Erik has been a best friend to Dexter as well. He has dog sat when I have been away for work and when we lived in the same city he would walk Dex almost daily for me and care for him just as any dotting pet parent would. Naturally I still think Dex favors walks with Erik when he comes to visit; I can just see it in how happy he is when Erik is around. Erik is going to make a great sitter and walker!
