I’ve been around dogs since Sketch the beagle, who I grew up with as a kid. We could hunt squirrels in the backyard, chase each other around the house, or just lounge in the living room. Sketch meant the world to me and was a great added support structure. He taught me just how much dogs can add to our lives. Another dear friend of mine is a two year old blue heeler named Maggie, who I had the privilege to sit for over a year(pictured above) She is a pure alpha queen, and one of the more intelligent dogs I’ve considered a best friend. I think back to a day where she managed to scale all three of my Dad’s five-six foot fences, then making her way into two neighbors’ houses through the doggy doors. She couldn’t clear the fence outright, but she figured out how to spring herself off the midway point, and she hit all three yards in quick succession - we didn’t have the speed to stop her. I’ve had the privilege to walk hundreds of dogs via Wag and Rover. The many friendships I've had with dogs have been source of inspiration and joy. As a dog walker/sitter I strive to give back some of the happiness that dogs give us.
