Hi there! I've grown up with a variety of pets, including a dog (see energetic Dalmatian), cat, birds, lizards, turtles, fish, and all sorts of rodents. Currently I own a 3 year old German Shepherd mix, Cooper, who is very friendly and calm (not an Alpha dog at all). He has the occasional allergic skin rash (grass, of all things) and is currently on daily meds for seizures, so I also am experienced in administering oral meds (solid and liquid). I live in an apartment where he (and other pets) has the freedom to roam. I work from home and set my own schedule, so walks and drop-ins can occur almost any time in the day. Walks can be simple and however many blocks, otherwise I have frequented the SLU dog park and Forest Park for more open play and exercise. I can also run with a dog if they have that much energy (typically 2-3 miles)! I own a car and a bike, so drop-ins are flexible as well. As long as we communicate and you set clear instructions, it'll be a great experience for all involved! Useful information to provide includes: any allergies/medical needs, dietary restrictions (especially for treats), behavior towards strangers and other dogs, any 'quirks.'
