In addition to having my own dogs and cats, I have taken care of other people's pets for over 15 years. Each cat and/or dog has unique personality traits and requires different types of care giving. Some pets are very are outgoing and affectionate. Other pets are shy and standoffish. I will work with a pet to make sure that they are as comfortable and happy as possible. I have experience working with animals in various settings. In addition to providing care in my own home or the the pet owner's homes, I also worked at a kennel for five years. Why I love dog sitting Dogs and cats have always been a very important part of my life. When I was growing up a few of my family members had cats and dogs that I adored. At the age of 10, my parents finally allowed me to have my own dog. Having my own dog has only increased the amount of love, devotion and respect that I have for other people's dogs and cats. My experience administering medication I am comfortable administering medication in pill or liquid form (including injecting insulin) and applying topical tick and flea control products.

Erica is really wonderful. We have a rescue dog who can be scared and reactive. Erica took excellent care of her and of our home while we were away. She stayed in touch with us the entire time. I would highly recommend her.
Erica S. was very patience getting to know my Sheba. Erica was very accommodating to ease any of my concerns, before & after the booking. Erica walked Sheba on the agreed schedule each day. The pictures Erica sent of Sheba each day gave me comfort while I was away. I would book Erica if I needed someone to walk my dog in the future.
Nice to get pictures and videos of dog while we traveled. Dog was relaxed and happy when we returned. Perfect. Erica also left everything very clean. Terrific.
We needed a last minute sitter for our cat, Cuddles, and Erica was ready and willing filling the meet and greet. She went above and beyond by staying longer, texting us to ensure Cuddles’ behavior was normal, applying her medication for us, and even doing thing around the house for us. I would highly recommend Erica. She was the best!

The most important thing that I would have to know about any pet before going into their home and pet sitting for them is that they are as comfortable as possible with me. The reason that I do not say "I want them to like and trust me" is because I realize that takes time with some pets. In other words, I would never invade a dog or cats' space if that's not what they wanted. As it is with people, I believe that pets have to get to know a person before they can trust them. As far as breed preference, I really don't have one. If your particular dog could possibly become violent, then I would have to decline your offer of work. I understand that no breed of dog is entirely good or bad. That is why it is important for the owner to be honest with a potential pet sitter about their dogs’ (or cats’) behavior type.
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog I work with the owner(s) to figure out how much time they feel their dog(s) and/or cats require. Personally, I love being with cats and dogs and could easily spend hours with them. However, I understand that the individual needs of each pet and owner(s) will vary. Extra house-sitting services I am more than happy to do any household chores (e.g., dusting, vacuuming, laundry, sweeping and mopping floors, watering plants, bringing in mail).
