Pet care experience
My last experience was housing a 1 yr old untrained male pit that was abandonned in my neighborhood. During his stay we worked on crate training which he took well to. Also hand gestures at home, for feeding, generah behavior, and during walks. He had no training prior. I had him for about 2 weeks when nobody claimed him or had interest in adopting and had to take him to the shelter. I'm still bummed about it. I grew up like most people with cats, rats, and fish. I also had a lab/newf mix and a daschound. In my twenties I took care of my houses chickens and Maine coon cat, and owned my first dog. A chihuahua. I've had a cat since 2011 and my house kinda came with a sweet feral cat (neautered and ear clipped) that hangs out sometimes. I have a dock just waiting for a game of stick throw. I also live very close to a perfect beach for doggos. I have fed very young puppies and kittens via droppers but only as a helper. I have experience giving subcutaneous injections to my fathers Goldie.
Reviews
Hello, I have know Erica for 3 years and she is a very good parent to her kitty Cheeto and a very good friend to my dog Khloe. My dog is a sweet strong blue nose pit bull and I appreciate that Erica understands dog body language and vocalizations like play barks and play growls. Erica has a lot of energy and if you teach her your dogs walking routine and commands/words/ leadership style - she will make sure your dog has a safe fun stroll. Erica is also trustworthy and someone who will be respectful of your home. You can have clean cat boxes, fed and pampered pets, and come home from your vacation or business trip to a safe tidy home. Erica has also rescued stray dogs at risk of getting onto the freeway, she is someone who loves animals.

My home is not fenced. I live in king salmon right near the beach. I also have access to a dock on a commonly used water channel. If your dog likes jumping into the water, this is a good place to do it. I mentioned the cat before. Her name is Cheeto. She tolerates pet guests well. She has had a few cats and a few dogs living in her space in the past and has been welcoming even if she maintains her space at first. I also have King Salmon beach at the end of my street. It's a popular place for dogs. I live in a stand alone studio with a yard and a dock. If your dog has trails they like, I'm happy to take them there. Our beach is pretty cool too.

Information Erica L. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog do well with cats? Are there any commands or protocols I should use to maintain consistent training and behavior? ie: What methods do you use to condone good behavior and dissuade bad behavior? When are feeding times and how do you prepare your dog's meals? Does your pet take any medication that I need to be trained on administering? How is your dog with other animals? Is your dog afraid of thunder, fireworks, or loud noises? Does your dog have any anxiety I need to be aware of?
A typical day
I'm familiar with King Salmon Beach, Manila and Samoa Beach, Headwaters Trail, and the HSU campus. Im yet to explore the Arcata Marsh and a few other places and would love to have a dog buddy to help me explore.

Availability
Ive recently updated my availability to include more openings. I am an uber driver and run my own small business doing gardening and groundskeeping. With winter approaching I will have more free time to do sitting and boarding over the holidays. I am indeed available during all upcoming holidays. I am open to boarding your pet in your home but prefer to board animals at my house in King Salmon.
