Experienced With Dogs of All Sizes!
Pet care experience
My name is Erica, and I’m an experienced dog walker from Howell, NJ. I get most of that experience from my work with the Trenton Animal Shelter, as well as working with clients and other volunteering. From my volunteer work, I have experience with socialization, bathing, exercising dogs of all shapes and sizes. I can bathe dogs, de-flea / tick, and training for basic commands and good leash manners. I am comfortable with dogs who are high energy, need to be socialized, or have special needs. No dog is too big, too small, too old, or too young for me. It is fine for drop in visits if there are cats or any other animals you'd like me to feed while dog-sitting. I am also the president of The College of New Jersey's Animal Benefits Club, a club based around volunteering with homeless dogs and cats in the Mercer County area. During the week, I am available any time from 9am - 7pm, and Weekends until 6pm. On Sunday’s, I am only available from 4-6pm.
Reviews
Erica is great with snowflake, and it’s a relief that snowflake has been able to get out of the house for her daily lunch time walks while I’m at work. I highly recommend Erica!
Erica has been fantastic with our girl Penny! She’s been so patient with Penny and truly treats her like one of her own! Erica has been dependable and has been easily able to adapt to my schedule! So happy that we found Erica to take care of our girl!
Erica is a loving caretaker and a dedicated worker. As board member of the Animal Benefits Club at The College of New Jersey, Erica has dedicated herself to the proper treatment of animals. I have personally witnessed the fruits of her labor not only through her active role in said club, but also in her daily responsibilities that consist of taking care of her own household pets, and those of her friends and associates. I have personally had the pleasure and privilege of Erica's assistance with my household dog, Alfred. Being the reliable individual she is, my housemates and I frequently entrust Alfred to her when we must leave the house for occupational and academic activities: She is Alfred's mom and best friend. Erica has proven herself to be a responsible and understanding person when it comes to the treatment and care of animals, and I could only expect an outstanding performance from her as a dog sitter.
I am writing today to offer my whole-hearted and unconditional recommendation of Erica Howarth as a potential part-time dog-sitter for your pet. Thank you in advance for taking the time to review my comments regarding my experiences with this extraordinary young woman. I have had the good fortune to know Erica personally for several years, and can say that, without a doubt, she is one of the most dedicated, hardworking, and vibrant individuals I have had the pleasure of meeting. When I first adopted my dog, Alfred, I knew that, as a college student, I would have difficulties leaving him with people. Frankly, I didn’t trust many of my peers with the life of my best friend, as they had demonstrated forgetfulness and apathy; two traits absolutely antithetic to the proper care of an animal. Thankfully, Erica stands apart from her peers. Not only is she singularly focused on providing excellent care to Alfred – ensuring that he is adequately fed, watered, and walked – but she genuinely enjoys spending time playing with him. To see the smile on her face when she interacts with your pet is to know that your pet is in good hands. Beyond her numerous qualifications as a caretaker, Erica’s deep, unwavering commitment to principles of animal rights, as well as her love for all animal life, make her the ideal choice for this job. While, to-date, I have only left Alfred in Erica’s care for relatively short periods of time, I know that I will seek her out when the time comes for an extended trip away from home. Thank you again for taking the time to consider my comments in making your hiring decision.

Information Erica H. would like to know about your pet
I have no breed preferences. Any dog is fine. The only thing I would like to know is their age, how many dogs there will be (Max 3 if small/medium, 2 if large), if I need to care for any medical disorders while watching them, and certain behaviors to watch out for.
A typical day
Depending on the dog's energy level, I will walk it enough to give it a good exercise. I can also provide basic command training as well as teaching them to improve with leash walking and helping the dog learn how to tug on the leash less.
