Hi there! My name is Erica and I love animals. Currently, I work as a zookeeper at Sedgwick County Zoo. I am a alumni at the University of Arizona where I studied Veterinary Science. After I graduated in 2015, I have mostly worked with animals in a variety of roles. I have volunteered and worked at 2 No-Kill animal shelters. In those jobs, I mostly cleaned kennels, walked dogs, and helped match perspective adopters with their perfect pet. During this time, I became very confident in handling dogs of any size and aggression level. I have also worked and volunteered at four zoos so I am very comfortable with all animals. I became animal handling certified at the Phoenix Zoo which increased my comfort level with handling animals.
