Pet care experience
I am a lifelong dog lover- I have been around/owned them since I was a baby! Most of my dog sitting has been done for family, friends, and acquaintances, so I consider myself an "amateur" in the sense that I don't do this for business. Rather, I am always happy to lend a helping hand to those who need some care for their pups, and in return, I get the joy of spending time with some doggie friends! (And a little extra income from it doesn't hurt either!) I currently live with my sister and our two dogs, terrier mixes named Sissy and Maggie (and two other non-furry roommates!). Being terriers, they can be challenging, and I have learned quite a few skills from that!

Information Erica C. would like to know about your pet
I find knowing a dog's personality ahead of time really helpful! Whether they have any anxieties or aggressions or fears, how they get along with other dogs/pets, their daily schedule, if they're escape artists, etc. Every dog is unique and I think it's important to learn their quirks :) I have no breed preferences for the most part, but have more experience and am more comfortable with smaller, medium-to-low energy dogs. That being said, I am flexible! If you have a large or extra large doggie who is super laid back and easy going, we can always see if it works. For that reason, if possible, I also prefer setting up a "meet and greet" session before the actual sitting/pet care date(s), just so I can get a feel for your pup and make sure we get along!
A typical day
I usually will take a dog around their neighborhood, but if there is a park or trail nearby that they enjoy, I'm happy to go offroads! Otherwise, a pup in my care can expect to get plenty of playtime, both indoors and out, and of course, tons and tons of pets and snuggles :)
