Reviews
I first met Erica when we worked at a kennel together. She is a dog trainer and only utilizes positive reinforcement for dogs. It is rare to find someone who is familiar with positive reinforcement, let alone someone who knows how to implement it. Erica treated every dog as if they were her own. She was patient, gentle, used a calm/chipper tone, and always paid attention to the dogs' body language. My dog, Roxy, is a rescue, and she does have some anxiety, can be sound phobic, and is dog reactive/selective. When my boyfriend and I had to go out-of-town, I was having the worst anxiety because I was not allowed to bring Roxy. When she was in the shelter, she was labeled a "desperate foster", meaning she was quickly declining in a shelter environment. I refuse to board her anywhere. I have only ever trusted my mom to watch Roxy, so trying to figure out a plan for Roxy was very stressful. I reached out to Erica to see if she would be willing to watch her in our home. Of course, she said yes. She came over a few times to meet Roxy prior and made sure she had a positive experience with her, as Roxy can be territorial as well. Roxy loved her the second she walked in the door. Erica juggled her home schedule around to accommodate us. She followed the instructions I left to a tee. She gave Roxy her meds, played with her, and took her for walks. She sent me pictures consistently throughout the trip to put my mind at ease. Roxy was happy and content in every picture. When Roxy was a little anxious at first (due to the separation anxiety), Erica was honest with me, which I appreciate. I would rather know that my girl is anxious so I can communicate how to help, and not just be told she is fine when in reality she's struggling. I have so much faith and trust in Erica! I cannot thank her enough for taking care of Roxy and cannot recommend her enough!
I’ve known Erica for 15 years and she is BY FAR the best dog sitter I have ever met. She is so passionate and educated about dog training and welfare. Erica has a certificate in dog training/behavior and several years of experience working with dog rescues and boarding facilities. Erica has come to train and watch my dog on several occasions. My dog LOVES her, and knows all his best tricks (sit, stay, wait, down, and shake) due to her expertise. My dog is a very skittish rescue who can be wary of new people, but he warmed up to Erica right away, and insists on sleeping near her when she comes to watch him—something he has never done with another sitter. Erica is very responsible and courteous. She always makes sure that she knows the ins-and-outs of my dog’s routine to make sure he is comfortable in her care.

Saftey is a #1 priority. On walks, I will utilize 2 points of contact, supervise any and all dog to dog interactions, and pay attention to your dogs behavior to make sure they are enjoying the activity.
Information Erica C. would like to know about your pet
I would need to know any fear, anxiety or aggression triggers, bite history, and allergies ahead of time. Plus any information you feel I should know!
A typical day
Sniffing is an important part of dog life. Think of it as their social media. I try to be sure that dogs get a decent amount of both exercise and enrichment on their walks.
