Welcome, furballs, one and all!
Pet care experience
I have cared for a wide variety of animals since I was 8 years old. Entrusted by friends, family, and neighbors, I have either owned or sat for dogs of all sizes and ages, cats and kittens, rabbits, rats, ferrets, turtles, and birds. For dogs and cats, I have been responsible for feeding, bathing, walking and exercising, training, and administering medications. Currently a parent (with my partner) to a cat, a kitten, and two rats, as well as a regular caretaker for a miniature poodle and a young boxer mix. I am a graduate student, with classes only in the evenings, for a maximum of 3 hours at a time, 4 nights per week. So, I will have all day to keep your best friend company and will never be away from them for more than a few hours. My partner— also a vastly experience pet owner and caretaker— is typically around in the evenings when I am not, so it is quite likely your furry friends will never be alone if they stay with us! We live in a first-floor, two-bedroom apartment with an unfenced yard for quick potty breaks and live less than a mile from a dog park (Beaver Brook), and only a couple minutes from the Rockwood Field dog park— if your companion needs a bit more space to stretch their legs and romp about off-leash. There are two friendly (and playful) cats in the household, and while we would prefer dogs that do get along with cats, we do have a gate and can keep them separated, depending on the size and energy level of your dog. Additionally, we have two rats that are kept in a cage in a separate, closed off area. Our close friend and upstairs neighbor has a miniature poodle who is friends with our cats and loves to play and meet new friends, if that’s something you think your pet would enjoy! We can easily crate your dog as well. We have a tub and can bathe your pets as long as you provide their preferred soap/cleanser! If visiting your home, it is important to me that you and your pet feel as comfortable as possible, and I will do everything possible to maintain their routine and follow your instructions to a T! Everything will be exactly as you left it. No mess, guaranteed.
Reviews
Fast communication! Was great with Honey and she loved her stay. Thanks again! Highly recommended.
Met with my dog and I even though it was last minute! Very kind and patient with my Chihuahua! Definitely will be a repeat customer!
Eric and Kalea did an amazing job taking care of Asher. This was my first time I’ve ever left him alone with someone and they made me feel really comfortable by sending me pictures throughout the day and giving me updates. Asher settled in quickly and had a fun day! I’ll definitely book with Eric and Kalea again!
They were so great with kilo I will definitely recommend to leave your fur baby with them

Please don’t be shy about any needs or accommodations your dogs may need, including medicine, exercise goals, training preferences and/or behavioral boundaries, or anything else! I have experience with diabetic dogs, dogs with anxiety, and dogs with sight/hearing impairment.

For longer walks, I love to go to Elm Park— in my experience pups of all kinds can find something to enjoy— from the stimulation from passerby and other pets to a quiet spot in the sun or shade. If your pup needs a bit more space to blow off steam, we’ll make at least one stop to Beaver Brook dog park nearby. In between, shorter potty breaks and walks around the neighborhood will be done as needed.
