Canine Therapist - Now Boarding
Pet care experience
Hi, I've been caring for dogs well over 18 years, first as a Canine Therapist, a re-socializer (yup that's my word for it), and personal doggie chef of all things. I've rehabbed every size dog imaginable, a Dachshund with a severe spinal surgery from paralyzation, to Great Danes with limited hip mobilization. Currently, I have Joy 🐶 by my side (in the photos). She's the sweetest dog I've ever met - who indeed rescued me. I was meeting family for dinner one night, oddly three hours early (weird I know!). There wasn't a Starbucks in sight, yet, I drove by the local humane society a few times. I drove in and sat in the parking lot for a long time, contemplating. I just put down my third dog in a row six months prior. It felt that I was ready again. You see, I value peace and love on this planet, and absolutely include our fur-babies as an integral part of this vision. I walked in, saw a lot, and then our eyes met, we kissed through the glass door, and I was hooked (and rescued). I took Joy home and she's been the best dog-daughter I could have ever asked for. She has no health concerns or dietary issues at all, although, she does get a lot of hands on massages, and yes I do cook for her. She gets along with every dog she's ever met, loves to play, and I exercise her very well. I am also offering: 🐾 K9 Therapy & Relaxation Treatments 🐾 Anti-Anxiety Massage 🐾 Neuromuscular Massage 🐾 Gentle Acupressure & Energy Work 🐾 Non-Evasive Joint, Hip & Spine Health 🐾 Spa Treatments 🐾 Nutritional Consultations 🐾 Personal Meal Planning 🐾 Cooking & Meal Prep It is my passion to help the K9 (and Human) collective by bringing a much needed resolve, relief and healing, especially those with PTSD. This is built upon a holistic & integrated approach of Mindful Therapy to elevate natural movement, which is proven to bring the K9 Psycho-Physiology & Psycho-Spiritual back to wholeness & oneness. I have a Master's Degree in Ayurvedic Science (India's medical practice), with a second Master's Degree in Buddhist Psychology, focusing on spiritually oriented contemplative healing modalities from Yogic and Buddhist philosophies as they intersect with Western psychology. I'm certified in the Canine Bowen Technique, and have also studied with Duke University, Dog Emotion and Cognition; and with The University of Edinburgh on Animal Behaviour and Welfare. I currently work from home, so any daily needs or loneliness is inherently resolved. Due to the nature of my work as an Alternative Health Practitioner, Multi-Modality Therapist, and now creating my own Apothecary, I am home a lot, and rarely go out except for hikes, social time, and Jiu Jitsu. My home is ideal for pet guests, it has the space, and I live on a very quiet cul de sac with a huge yard. I'm also literally 1 mile from Fletcher park where I walk or jog Joy daily.
Reviews
Eric was an exceptional sitter! It was what we expected and a whole lot more. We struggled to find a reliable sitter since moving to the area, but then saw Eric’s unique profile. When Lola met him, there was an immediate connection there between the both of them, and us, that made me feel confident that she was in great hands. If you are looking for the best care that Rover can offer for your pet, look no further than Eric - your pet will thank you!
This stay was a wonderful experience for my dog. She had lots of activity and great opportunity to socialize with other dogs under very good supervision. I am most appreciative of the loving care she received. Thanks again Eric!
Very organized, personal, and intelligent approach to initial contact. Day visit went well, my guy got a trip to the park AND dog park!! He had a wonderful day and so did we. Looking forward to our next day-out!
Eric was very responsive, easy to coordinate with and flexible. He took Odin for walks and to the park and shared updates all weekend long. Thanks again Eric!

IT is important that I understand these aspects as best you can share: - behaviors, tendencies, and norms. Barking, jumping, and what to expect. - eating routine, sleeping routine, and how they play. - any medications or any medical issues to know about.
A typical day
A typical day; a morning walk up the road before breakfast. After the fur-babies eat (supervised), we relax a bit while I get my work day going at home. Then it's the afternoon trek to Fletcher Park for a trail walk, possibly a jog depending on who's with me.
