Pet care experience
I've been a dog lover all my life and owned dogs for over 30 years. In 2016, my two male dachshunds passed away after 15 years of wonderful companionship. Rather than adding a new canine companion to my home at this time, I preferred pet sitting instead. Rover.com was so valuable to me as a pet owner that I decided I wanted to open my home to other family's pets and offer them a safe and comfortable place to stay when the owners must travel. I prefer smaller dogs but have a large home in a quiet neighborhood so I can be flexible. I work from home so I'll be with your dogs most of the day and will give my pet guests plenty of personalized attention. It takes a while to build up references but some friends and family members have been kind enough to share theirs while I accumulate verified stays. I'd love to offer your canine companion a safe and comfortable home while you're away. I hope you'll give me a try and look forward to receiving your stay request soon!

Eric was great, and I didn’t have to worry about a thing while he was watching my puppy for the day.
Eric D was wonderful! Lucky has an injury that requires medication administration and limited activity. Eric took great care of him for several days right after his procedure. We will definately use Eric again over the next 8 weeks while Lucky recovers and probably beyond. It was difficult to get Lucky to leave, he really enjoyed his time with Eric.
Eric was AMAZING! He provided me with updates of my dog and always responded quickly to my texts. I even needed to have a sitter for an extra day and he was flexible to accommodate. When I pick my doggy up, he seemed as if he was on vacation. I would recommend Eric to anyone and will definitely use him again when needed!
Eric was great! Our pups were so happy when they got home, and worn out from tons of playing. Eric was flexible with our hours and kept us updated with pictures! Will certainly use him again.

As a previous dachshund owner, I'd love to have your dachshund in my home but am open to any small or medium sized dogs.
A typical day
I will take your dog on walks around the neighborhood (10-15 minutes) or if your dog loves to run, I'd love to take them with me on morning jogs in my quiet neighborhood. If your dog has its own bed or is crated at night, please bring it along so they have a comfortable and familiar place to curl up and sleep. I'm around most of the day since I work from home so I'll be able to provide your dog plenty of time and attention.
