Uncle Eric's Dog Sitting

Pet care experience

Hello, If you have used our services in the past, please know that we have gone independent. If you'd like to use the services of Uncle Eric's Dog Sitting, please contact us, and I'll send our contact info, as Rover doesn't allow that here. Thank you.

Eric has been watching Charlie since he was a puppy and has done a wonderful job taking care of him while I’m away. Eric always gives great feedback about what Charlie’s doing during the day, and I am never worried at all when I am gone. Sometimes Charlie is even happier to see Eric than he is to see me, which makes me feel great about him being able to go visit every now and again.

Eric is so great with our dogs. We have an anxious rescue and he is so patient and loving with her. Won't take our dogs anywhere else.

Eric is wonderful! We’ve used his dog boarding service quite a few times and I highly recommend him for your dog sitting needs.

I believe that every pup should be treated with love and respect, and I bring that philosophy to caring for any pet that stays with us. I also want to provide a safe and happy place for your pet to stay, so I have been certified in Pet First and CPR by Pet Emergency Education, LLC. We have had dogs in our home for over 20 years. My wife and I currently have two resident dogs - both are rescues - who love to interact with other dogs. Before Whiskey (Border Collie mix) and Maddy (American Eskimo) came to live with us we had a pair of Huskies, one was a rescue and the other we raised from a puppy. Both led long and happy lives. I have had experience with separation anxiety, administering both oral and eye medications, and taking care of senior dogs. Unless otherwise instructed by a pet owner, all dogs in my home are given free rein to furniture, the large fenced-in backyard, and the bed at night. If your dog stays here, they will be treated just like a member of the family. We love having dogs around, so if you only need us for a day or need us for a week or more, we are here.

Information Eric B. would like to know about your pet

We like to be sure that any dog that visits is up to date on their shots and vaccinations, is on flea and tick preventative and is on heartworm medication. We also like to know the guest dog's energy level. We accept dogs of any energy level but knowing it helps with scheduling (a particularly energetic dog might mean we need to limit other bookings). We do require a meet and greet before we accept your dog unless you are coming from out of town. In which case we reserve the right to cancel the stay after you have arrived with your dog if it doesn't look like it will work out.

A typical day

We cater our activities to your dog’s energy level. We have walking routes that range from 3/4 mile to five miles through the many trails and parks near to our home. We play every day. I engage in all forms of play that a pup would like. It doesn’t matter if your pup loves playing ball or tug, being chased, playing biteface or wrestling, I’m happy to play with them however they prefer. The goal is to give them the exercise they need and the fun they deserve.

Availability

We believe that flexibility is at the core of our offering. We are here to help you relax during your time away from your pup. There is always someone home and guest pups are never left alone. That's why we offer generous pick-up and drop-off times. We will accept dogs for pick-up or drop-off at any time that's convenient for you between 6:30 am and 7:00 pm. And because we understand that life happens, we also offer the most flexible cancellation policy that Rover will allow.
