We booked Colin a stay with Emory when my boyfriend and I took a last minute trip. She was extremely accommodating and sweet to our little man, and sent us lots of cute pics. We look forward to using her again on our next trip.

I'll love your dog like you do!

In addition to being a dog lover, I work with a rescue organization as a foster for dogs waiting to find their forever home. Dogs have always been part of my life and I have a lot of love and patience. I have experience caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. I treat every dog like an individual and understand that different dogs have different needs and preferences. But I love them all ...

What Emory would like to know about your dog

We have a big cat that can be a bit bossy, so I can only care for dogs that ignore cats - no chasing and the dog must be the kind to back down/be submissive if my cat gets upset or tries to remind the dog who's boss. (My cat won't hurt your dog, though.)

Our dog, Henry, is a 25-lb beagle mix. He is very sweet and submissive and gets along with every dog he meets. He enjoys playing with other dogs and will share his toys.

I can only take dogs that are okay with being left alone when we are sleeping (no dogs allowed in our bedroom) and at work/out of the house. I highly prefer dogs that are crate trained, mostly so that I know your dog (and our cat) is safe when I am not there! Our dog Henry is crate trained. If your dog is not comfortable in a crate, I do have a pen/gate I can put up to give them their own 'room' as needed.

I live in a fairly quiet part of the city, but we do pass people and dogs often enough while on walks, so if your dog doesn't always do well with other dogs or people, just let me know so I can adjust accordingly.

I can care for low to medium energy dogs, but if your dog needs more than an hour of walking or to go for a run every day then I am probably not the dog sitter for you!

When Emory watches your pet

At my home your dog will get lots of cuddles and attention from both me and our dog, Henry, who loves to play (but knows when to chill). I usually take dogs out 3x per day, and try make at least one of those times a good long walk. I don't have a fenced yard, but if your dog isn't an escape artist or especially big, I have a pen in part of my back yard for some outdoor time off-leash (under supervision). There is also a nice big field near my house where I can take dogs to play fetch or run around (on a 30 foot leash for everyone's safety).
