Pet care experience
If you’re looking for that true “dog person” to take care of your pup(s), hi! Walking, hiking, feeding, basic meds administration, bathing/brushing, and outings are already a part of daily life, and we’d love to include your furry family member in our routine. I’m very familiar with obedience training, and can help keep up with training for your puppy or dog of any age.
Reviews
Fantastic and thorough!! Will definitely be coming back!
Emma took great care of my energetic 1 yr old cavapoo! She also accepted my last minute request and was super flexible with drop off and pick up. She gave really great detailed updates and sent lots of photos and videos. My pup came home very tired and happy. ☺️ She will definitely be going back!
Emma was so accommodating and flexible with our drop off and pick up times! Tracker had a great stay and we hope he can visit again soon!
As usual Sunny had an AMAZING time with Emma! The care and attention he receives from Emma is wonderful! Emma is such a kind person and we are so lucky to have found Sunny a loving home while we are out of town!

My house is a doggy getaway dream. There’s a big, fenced in grassy yard with lots of trees and shrubs to sniff and shade and water to stay cool. The two story house practically has a dog bed in every room, and dogs are very much allowed on the two cozy couches. My small SUV is reliable and has plenty of space in case we need to go for a ride, and our quiet residential neighborhood is a block away from a leafy paved trail along a stream—a favorite route for dogs.

Information Emma W. would like to know about your pet
Let me know more about your dog’s energy level and the best way to give them good mental and physical stimulation and exercise (example: ideal number of miles per day, fetch, dog parks, etc.) In addition to anything I should know about your meal schedule and general routine, I’d love to know what commands you use so I can be consistent and use the language your pup is used to. Also, let me know if there are any stress triggers (loud noises, storms, intact males, specific breeds or sizes of dog etc), and if you’re working on resource guarding or leash reactivity to make sure we give your pup the most stress-free experience possible.
A typical day
Every dog wants and needs different types and intensities of attention and exercise, and I’m happy to provide whatever will be best for yours. A typical routine would be morning bathroom break, a walk around the neighborhood and on the paved trail by a local stream (Sligo Parkway), followed by breakfast. The day is spent at home snuggling, playing with toys and doggy puzzles for enrichment, with regular bathroom breaks and short walks. The backyard is ideal for fetch, zoomies, and obedience practice, and we’d get another long walk in before dinner. On weekends we love to hike in nearby state parks (Patapsco, Patuxent, Cunningham Falls), Shenandoah, and Quiet Waters dog beach to swim on hot days. Ellsworth dog park in Silver Spring, and the Takoma Park dog park are local favorites for weekday fun too.

Availability
I work from home, and my day is already structured around caring for my own dog. We usually start the day with a walk and breakfast, playing and bathroom breaks throughout the day, and a long walk or time at the dog park before dinner (and usually an evening treat like a peanut butter Kong or bully stick!).
