If you want some detail, you can read more below* but the short version is - go ahead and book with Emma and Quinn. Your dog will get great care and you will have peace of mind. And here’s the litmus test: When I picked up Louie - yeah, he was very happy to be back with me but - he looked back about three times at Emma and the doorway. Maybe he was considering which gig was better - me or Emma. He didn’t do that super-excited, reconnection jumping around until we were back on the sidewalk. * My sweet little 13+ year old Corgi mix can get separation anxiety. He needs to be near someone he feels is safe. On top of that, he’s become crotchety and more clingy with aging - declining vision, hearing, occasional body aches - producing some new behaviors. He has started to stick right by your feet (TripHazard is his new name), and can snap at people if he is startled or feels insecure. I can no longer let random people, drawn in by his cuteness, coo and reach down to pet him! He’s like a grumpy Grandfather.
