As a former teacher, I try to treat animals with the same amount of empathy and tenderness I would treat a child. Animals can sense tension and fear, and I approach my sitting duties with care so as to keep them as calm as possible. I have seen success bonding with all kinds of animals through this method. Everything from the most exuberant Rottweiler to the most skittish cat. While my own home is a smaller apartment, I am located right on top of the capital trail. I take dogs on walks twice daily, and love to give them room to run at the three parks located within walking distance from my place.
