Pet care experience
I'm a 23 year old dog full-time walker and pet sitter based in Reigate I previously worked as a veterinary patient care assistant so I have an abundance of experience with cats and dogs of all ages, sizes and care needs. I also currently have a full DBS check. I am capable of walking well-behaved dogs up to 60 kilos and rambunctious/less behaved dogs up to 30 kilos. I can accept other walks if we have a successful meet and greet prior, however I will need ensure that I'm able to safely handle your pet as that's my top priority. For dog walking, I can walk your dog for up to 4 miles, either along local residential streets or in nearby greens/woodlands- whichever is preferred. Please let me know of any command words you personally use and of your dog's temperament. I have walked aggressive/reactive dogs before and am comfortable to walk them so long as I am able to safely handle them, so don't hesitate to propose a meet and greet :)

Emma was absolutely brilliant while looking after my cat Pig while I was on holiday. Pig is normally shy but absolutely loved Emma. Emma has a great connection with animals. Emma's daily updates were also really great and full of detail and lovely pictures of Pig. I highly recommend Emma!

Emma was great with Halo! She sent us lots of photos and Halo seemed very relaxed when we got home. Emma communicated with us effectively and we would definitely work with her again in the future.

I put a lot of focus into pet safety and comfort at all times. I don't have a fenced-in garden myself at the moment, hence why I don't dog-sit in my own home. I only walk one dog at a time so I can provide all my attention to your dog, the only exception being if you have two dogs that walk well on a leash, listen to commands and have had a trial walk. Due to working with sick/injured dogs at the vets, I am very used to monitoring the animal and surroundings whilst outside in the garden or out for a walk and this would carry over to any client's pets too, even if they were in their own enclosed garden. When not actively playing with a pet, I will stay be in the room and monitor them whilst doing my own thing and I am more than happy to put in other safety measures asked for by a pet owner.
Information Emma M. would like to know about your pet
Knowing your dog's temperament helps me know how and where to walk them, e.g. being informed of a reactive dogs triggers beforehand allows time to plan a route that avoids such triggers. Any information on the breed would be useful as I do have allergies and some coats/fur require me to take antihistamines. Also any medical issues/history I should be aware of, your vet's contact information in case of emergency or some other emergency contact would be helpful.
A typical day
I enjoy exploring trails through parks and forests with my own dog, and would be happy to do the same with your dog if they would enjoy such a thing. I also play chase or tug with toys, as well as any other games your pet enjoys

Availability
Currently, I am solely focused on rover. I do care for my own dog and my parents' during the week but both are very low maintenance and I am able to fit their walks and care around any bookings easily.
