Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm and have raised various types of dogs my entire life. There is not a memory I have that does not include dogs (among other various animals). I attended a college to become a veterinary assistant and realized it was not for me to see them suffer. However, helping them live their best lives is what I am passionate about. I currently have two dogs, one full grown who I have raised for 4 years and another puppy of 15 weeks. My schedule to care for them will never interfere with the work I do here!

Emma has been my go to dog walker for about a year now. I had met her at a local dog park where she had been ever so kind to offer my sweet pup with water when she had seen my empty bottle. She has walker my sweet Tucker now every week (2x per week) religiously. She has an innate ability to connect with animals, and I am so grateful to have someone that I can fully trust with my sweet boy. Emma goes above and beyond to ensure that Tuck leaves and comes home a very happy boy. I have called Emma last minute asking for support when I have last minute meetings, and she is always there to lend a helping hand. It is an absolute joy having Emma as my go-to dog support.

In a clients home I would ensure I follow every rule set forth by the client and respect the law of the land. If there is a fenced back yard I should like to spend a lot of time there, allow for lots of exercise. If not I will happily take their pet on a walk or a hike to whatever extent the owner is comfortable with. And of course I would be happy to play indoors if weather doesn’t permit outside activity, I have numerous inside games for my pets that leave them sleeping well!

I can work with any type of dog, though preferably they get along with others. However, I’m never opposed to a dog who doesn’t, I just would like to know in advance so I can make the necessary accommodations! This also goes for any kind of special needs as well, as long as I am aware I can accommodate!
A typical day
I love to take dogs out on hikes in various locations. If that is not available any kind of wall around the neighborhood or dog park is always an option. Cold Spring Park in Newton is also a popular destination, my dogs love it!

Availability
I work a 9-5 job as a counselor at a mental health agency. Any time before 9 am or after 5 pm is free for me to work, as well as much of the weekends. I work from home currently so most of my day is spent doing work online and training my current puppy, stepping out to care for others won’t be a problem!
