Pet care experience
Pets really are more than animals, they are companions and family members. I know how important it is to make sure they are in good hands, and so I always want to strive to treat them as if they were my own. I am a current graduate student at UNT and have just moved into the Oak Point area. I have lots of experience with pet sitting as I was an active Rover sitter for several months in the past and am looking to begin offering my services again. Additionally, I have my own pets that range from senior dogs, a cat, and a bearded dragon! I have also fostered a dog, volunteered at an animal shelter, and participated in dog shows when I was younger.

Emma was great! She came over beforehand to figure out where everything was and meet our pup. She was in constant contact the whole time. Rooney seemed very loved the entire time we were gone.
Emma was great! She above and beyond in caring for our dogs and keeping us updated while we were gone with text and pictures. She was very respectful of our home and spoiled our fur babies.
Emma is so wonderful, she takes the best care of my dogs. Super grateful!
Emma was a great dog sitter for my two older dogs. She sent updates daily and took them on frequent walks. She adjusted to their needs well as they are quite old and have some special needs.

I realize that all pets have different personalities and boundaries. That being said, I will always do my best to respect them and make sure they feel comfortable. My prior experience with pet sitting, whether it be drop-in visits or staying over, has given me lots of insight on ensuring that pets are well secured and that they feel comfortable with me. I always strive to be aware of how they may be feeling and to work with them in a way that does not cause them distress. Additionally, having my own pets has made me aware of what it takes to keep them contained and to prevent them from coming into contact with any potentially harmful situations, substances, etc.

Before pet sitting, I would definitely like to know if there are any specific behavioral issues or precautions that I should take with your pet in advance. I don't have any specific breed preferences, they're all great! Most importantly, let me know all the things your pet loves and needs to be happy.
A typical day
I can walk your dog really anywhere that they would enjoy. We could just go around the neighborhood or even to a nearby park. I'm also a big fan of dog parks, so if that is something your pet enjoys I would definitely love to take them. I will also make sure to give your dog (or cat!) lots of playtime with toys, too.

Availability
My only obligations at the moment are my part-time job (20 hours a week) and school. I most always work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9-4. However, just ask and we can probably work something out if my work schedule interferes with what you are needing! As for school, I have night classes in-person from 6-9 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I always want to make sure I am giving your pets the highest quality care and attention, and will certainly prioritize that in any way I can.
