Pet care experience
I graduated from Washington State University, where I earned my degree in Zoology. I am an experienced animal care giver, currently a primate zoo keeper. I’ve been working as a zoo keeper for two years, currently work at the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, and volunteered at my local humane society for many years growing up. I’m experienced in giving pets medications and have had many growing up, I had up to 10 at one point! One particular cat I’ve cared for had a very strict regiment of diet and depended on every dose of meds. I am very conscientious about meds/walks/cuddles. I think it’s important to be involved in all aspects of animal care as well as loving. I enjoy all living creatures, caring for them and forming a special bond. ❤️

Emma is very flexible with drop off and pick up times. She sends pictures and updates of my dog. Also, my dog is on the more excitable side and can be a lot to handle, but Emma just says, "She is a lot of fun!"
Emma did a great job with our dogs while we were away overnight. She kept us informed and we came home to happy doggos. Will definitely use her again :)
Emma took such good care of Oliver. We are very impressed. She kept us updated regularly and was very accommodating of our needs. Oliver also became friends with Ramsey (Emma's cat)!

I live in an apartment, but there is a nice neighborhood and parks to take walks in. I’m an avid hiker so I will make sure to go on walks if your dog enjoys them! I live close to work so I can stop by throughout the day if necessary. I am a zookeeper and understand that each animal has its own unique personality and traits and pride myself on providing a high level of care.

I like to have a written list of any medications, feeding times and amounts. Also any preferences your pet may have. And the information for their regular vet and emergency vet so I am able to contact in an emergency.
A typical day
There is a park near my apartment that is great for walks so when I dog sit I will definitely be taking your dog on walks. I enjoying playing with all animals and all the cuddle time I can get.

Availability
I’m working full-time, I’m usually gone by 7 but I’m home around 3:30. I have Sunday and Monday off so I can spend all day with your pets!! I also live close to work so I can drop in at lunch to just in and let them out if necessary!
