Let me be your pet's new best buddy
Pet care experience
Pets have always been part of the family for me. I grew up with two Weimaraners and a Chihuahua/terrier mix, so I am comfortable around a variety of breeds and sizes. My husband and I adopted our dog Lexi around 7 years ago. She is a high energy and spirited hound mix, so I'm used to long walks, playtime, and providing lots of attention. Lexi was a rescue and has some quirks leftover from her traumatic puppyhood, so I'm also accustomed to dealing with anxious and reactive dogs. I would love to become your pet's new best friend and make them as comfortable and happy as possible while you're away.
Reviews
Emily was great! I own two older dogs; a high energy huskey named Max and a grumpy chihuahua named Gary (he's very cute, though!). First, Emily was fantasic and sweet when connecting with the dogs--they loved her! She also walked Max and Gary regularly and spent time playing with them appropriately and gently to ensure the old guys didn't overdo it. And even though Gary is a grouch, Emily was so patient and friendly and won him over so quickly! She was also great at feeding the dogs their specific foods and following directions for the dogs' medicine. In short, Emily was AWESOME! She loved my dogs just like they were her own. She was responsible, communicative, and so, so great with our dogs!
I found Emily to be an awesome pet/house sitter. She cared for my dogs and home as if they were her own. She followed all directions for food, exercise, and medications for the dogs, keeping their routines as normal as possible. I found Emily to be a person of integrity that I could trust to care for my pets and home.

My pup is used to being an only child, so unfortunately I am not able to host pets in my home at this time. But I'll be happy to come to your house and and do my best to make your pet comfortable while you're away. I am happy to provide updates and photos as frequently as you'd like them! I'm comfortable with most pets, but I do ask that your pets are up to date on vaccines as well as heartworm and flea & tick treatments - for your pet's safety and mine. My husband may also join me at times to help with pet care.
Information Emily W. would like to know about your pet
The most important thing I want to know is what I can do to keep your pet happy & comfortable. For overnight stays, it's also helpful to know the basics like feeding and walking schedules, any allergies, special diets, or any other relevant info that will help me take care of your pet. Any anxiety or past aggression, vet information, preferred way to communicate is also key to making sure everybody is safe and comfortable.
A typical day
I like to start the day with a walk. If you have a fenced yard, I can let your dog in and out as much as they'd like. If no fenced yard, we'll take short outings throughout the day so they can go to the bathroom. We can have lots of play time and snuggles, belly rubs, and ear scratches, depending on what your pet likes. I am happy to tailor the day to your pet's needs - if they're more of a couch potato than an avid adventurer, that's okay too!
