Pet care experience
I was born into an pet loving family with 2 rabbits, 2 chickens, 2 dogs, 5 horses and a cat. I am used to caring for animals and I live with my partner now and we did have a dog of our own who sadly passed away in June. Ralph was a beagle who loved other dogs and our cat, Rory. We miss him lots and will likely get another dog once we are ready but currently our house is dog free. My sister has a young golden lab who is very energetic and bouncy and we sit him from time to time along with friends dogs', which is what made me want to join. Only available for 1 dog at a time. Not available all day everyday but as long as I know when beforehand, I can make sure I am free. We have a gated and secure drive and gardens with views of Pendle Hill, a short walk away. Weekends are best as we usually venture out for a walk, sometimes up Pendle hill, sometimes to visit my horse and sometimes to the beach.

This was our first time leaving 3year old schnauzer Arthur so we were very anxious and worried - would a stranger love our boy and treat him as part of the family, he likes cuddle on his terms, has been hand fed on occasions, gets walked four times a day. My list went on…. I had visited a kennels and it wasn’t for us. Emily was understanding and kind and reassured us of the care they would provide. Well we needn’t have worried Arthur had a ball, from day one he seemed to settle into life in the country. Emily kindly kept us updated with lots of wonderful pictures which allowed us to relax and enjoy our holiday. We looked forward to the photo dumps. Arthur came back a Rory the cat loving (surprise to us) happy healthy just washed boy. I recommend without hesitation and they will be Arthur’s holiday home go to for us without question. Excellent kind caring dog lovers - my only concern is how much Arthur will miss his 2nd family ❤️
Emily and James were the perfect dog sitters for the weekend. They looked after our Labrador puppy Tilly as if she were their own and even took her on a day out to the pub! We received regular photo updates which gave us great peace of mind. Tilly is really looking forward to her next stay with Emily in June!
Emily could not have looked after my 11 month old Cavapoo any better. He received plenty of cuddles & walks in some beautiful countryside and I received some lovely photos of his stay. I would not hesitate to recommend Emily. Her brilliant care meant I was able to spend a few nights abroad without worrying. Thanks again!??
Our dog Nala spent two days with Emily and James, Emily send use pictures of Nala on her walks she looked like she was having a great time! We highly recommended their service and care and will definitely be sending Nala again..

Your dog will be cared for as if it is my own. Ralph had complete run of the house and came everywhere with us so the same treatment would be standard. Rules are respected though so if you don’t want your dog on furniture or upstairs, we wouldn’t allow this.

No breed preference but would need to get along with our cat. Can cater walks for any size of dog or if you have a dog that just likes to be by your side as we rarely left Ralph alone. We view animals as part of our family!
A typical day
We aim for two 45 minute walks per day and I occasionally run so if your dog enjoys running I would take him/ her with me. I also have a horse so there is the option to take dogs up to the stables. We try to avoid livestock during walks so we can allow a wander off lead. Our favourite places are woodland walks but we go anywhere and everywhere!

Availability
On a weekday, I go up to my horse in the morning at 6am so my partner usually takes the dog out during this time. We then spend the day working from home so regular toilet breaks, snuggles and time outside is offered throughout the day. During the evening we would go out with the dog for a walk together and usually pop to our local dog friendly pub. During the weekend, we are either out walking, working on the house/ garden or having a pub lunch! All activities that dogs usually enjoy and we enjoy having them for company!
