Pet care experience
I have owned dogs my whole life and began pet sitting at 16. I have lots of experience with puppies and energetic dogs, as well as special needs dogs. I have a Malinois, so I am very familiar with high energy dogs who need lots of care and playtime. I also have lots of experience caring for many dogs at once, as a family I petsit for frequently has 5, all different ages, sizes, and energy levels. I’m also experienced caring for horses. I’ve ridden since I was 5 and have cared for other peoples’ horses since I was 16. I am confident in my knowledge of pet care and know when to call a vet. Most importantly, I love being around all animals and enjoy walks, playtime, and cuddles.

Emily has been great to work with! My doggy can be picky about who she likes, let alone who she lets come in and walk her during the day without me there, and they get along great! Easy to communicate with too. Highly recommended 😊

I live in a small, pet friendly apartment. There is no fenced in yard, however I make sure to do several good walks every day, plus play time in the apartment. I live near several great hiking spots, and I also have a long line to allow the dog more freedom to play and roam. I also have a small patio with a high fence, perfect for lounging in the sun. I do have 2 cats, however they are dog friendly (even if the dog isn’t necessarily cat friendly, they don’t engage in fighting). I also have a puppy. I would absolutely be willing to do a meet and greet if you were concerned about their compatibility. When I house sit, I make sure to leave the house clean and take care of it as if it were my own.

A typical day
We would go on walks around my apartment complex or go to your pets favorite dog park. I also spend a lot of time at home and have comfy beds and a couch for the more relaxed dogs.

I am currently working full time, mostly virtually from home. I usually go into the office once a week for a full 8-hour day. I have a flexible schedule and am open to long-term schedules or short term needs.
