Pet care experience
As a UM undergrad and now med student, I have loved taking care of pets around Ann Arbor for many years! We have a very sweet, 10-mo old puppy named Izzy. She is super chill and loves company. If you have any questions about me please feel free to ask!
Reviews
Emily was great! She sent photos and videos and Lincoln even came home with some new tennis balls. We would highly recommend Emily to anyone needing a sitter in the Ann Arbor area! We will definitely use her again in the future!
Emily is a good as it gets. My dog is nervous and needs many medications, which he resists. She delighted in him and was patient, inventive, and effective. She kept me well informed and left detailed notes. My little guy did well and I believe he misses her!
Emily was great! Now we don't have to feel bad when we leave our dogs! They asked if we could keep her!
Emily is excellent! We left our French Bulldogs with her for the first time and came home to our babies happy to see us but also obviously looking for their new best buddy Emily! Our home was neat and clean, our girls were healthy happy and tired and we are extremely happy we found Emily! In fact, our flight was delayed considerably and she wouldn't leave until she knew for sure we had landed and made it home. Oh, and forgot to mention the daily pics of our girls! One is so cute my wife is using it as her new screen saver! But please don't go by our review because we want her available when we need her next!

I have a front yard and a back yard. Although the yards are not fenced, we have a cable in both yards that we attach to our dog’s collar. This allows for safe play outside (Izzy LOVES to play soccer) without having to worry about potential escape!

Information Emily S. would like to know about your pet
I have watched a variety of breeds, and one thing I’ve learned is that every dog has their own quirks and personality (regardless of their size and breed). Throughout my life I’ve had an English Springer Spaniel, German Shepherd, Lab, Husky, and Pitt mix, and all of them were perfect for different reasons. I have experience taking care of dogs ranging from near end of life to puppies, and I’ve cared for dogs with arthritis, diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, allergies, anxiety, ptsd, recent surgeries, and many other medical conditions. I am comfortable taking care of dogs who have quirks in social situations (such as with kids and other dogs) and I will ask about this when I meet you! Izzy gets along very well with small dogs, but she’s down for whatever! My main priory is to take enough time to learn from you how to best care for your pup. I will gladly spend as much time as needed to understand and be confident in administering care, regardless of their needs. I love learning how to do new things as well, and I appreciate you helping me gain that skill! I want you to be confident and comfortable with me so that you don’t have to worry at all while you enjoy your time away.

I am a (retired) college athlete, and I love going for walks or runs if your dog is up for it! We live right next to a pretty awesome trail as well, which is always a doggo favorite (and great workout for me- ha!).

I am currently in my designated study period for board exams, so my time is extra flexible. My partner is also studying medicine, and he is home to help out as well!
