Tell your pet I said Hi!!

Pet care experience

I'm a former teacher, but now an Insured Pet Sitter and member of National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. I have always had dogs and cats and have experience with a variety of life stages and temperaments. My personal experience is with special needs rescue pets (medical and emotional)! I cared for my one-eyed diabetic pup, Bob (RIP 2020) for 16 years. Though he had a variety of health issues, I was privileged to help him with all his medical needs: including disguising oral medication 😉, frequent blood sugar monitoring/testing and twice daily insulin administration. I have also had a diabetic cat and other aging animals that needed specialized care in to the sunset years. I always want to help a pet feel safe, comfortable, and confident. I currently own one other rescue pup and two fat cats.

Emily cared for our Cavachon dog for two weeks. She did an amazing job caring and allowing him to explore his neighborhood. She deserves six stars an extra star for being amazing.

Emily was fantastic. My pets bonded with her immediately and she kept me updated on her visit with lots of photos. She even left me a sweet note.

I want pets to feel as comfortable with me as they would with their owners, I get that this takes time though, by reading body language and their cues, I have been able to win over the shyest neighborhood dog. I also totally understand that feeling of wanting to make sure that your pets are comfortable and happy while you're to away. I'm here to help you with whatever you and your animals need. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

Information Emily S. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know how your dog reacts to other dogs, and if they have any quirks or likes on their walks. If your dog or cat has special needs, medical or behavioral, I'm happy to help. I've only owned rescue pets and realize they come with their own stories and needs. Just let me know what your pet needs to feel healthy and at peace and I'll be happy to help!

A typical day

Games, walks, toys or just cuddles. Whatever your dog likes to do I'm happy to help! Some dogs like to go slow and smell everything, others wanna chew the leash....whatever your's does, I know how to handle it. I especially like to allow your pup to go on different routes on each walk.
