Emily is my fiancé, and she helps me take care of our 12 pets on a daily basis. She always makes sure our babies have fresh food and water, and, in the case of one of our fur babies, makes sure that she has had her medications for the day. She aids me in cleaning our pets’ cages, ensuring that each pet has adequate enrichment in their cage(s), and helps to ensure that each pet gets enough time and love to guarantee their happiness. She makes sure that our pets get some fresh air, and dedicates a good chunk of time out of her day to play with our pets and satisfy their need for affection. We also occasionally babysit her mom’s dog, Bella, and, when Bella is visiting, Emily makes sure that Bella gets to go on frequent walks, as well as making sure that Bella feels included in the environment, has plenty of toys to relieve boredom, and can always snuggle up beneath a blanket on the couch when she is tired. Overall, she is very dedicated to our own pets—and animals in general— and is always aiming to make every individual pet feel happy, loved, and secure.
