I have taken care of a family friends animals every time they go on vacation. I give them updates about how much fun they are having and will even send goofy pictures of the animals. When it comes to taking care of an animal, I like to follow the pet owners instructions perfectly. Early morning and late afternoon/evening are usually the best time for me. I like to treat any animal with the upmost respect and will even spend extra time past playing and walking an animal. When it comes to house sitting, I like to make the animal feel human like, if the owner is okay with that. I hate letting animals feel that they can't have a great time just because the owner is not home.
