I love fur babies
Pet care experience
I am a currently a travel Oncology Nurse. I am taking some time off between contracts for the summer and I am trying to fill my time with your fur babies! I love being around dogs and cats and I have had pets all my life. At the most I've had three pets at once, but I've always had at least one pet. Currently I have one cat, Riley Jo. She does not get along well with other animals, so I will not be watching animals in my home. My schedule at the moment is completely free so I can be pretty flexible. I've trained puppies to be able to do simple commands and I love taking dogs on walks, to the dog park, or even giving them a bath. I used to volunteer at PetSmart in the Forgotten Cats clinic in Delaware. I am comfortable bathing cats and trimming claws. I am also comfortable administering medications to animals! I'm excited to hear from you and to watch your fur babies!
Reviews
I cannot recommend Emily enough for a stress-free experience! I have two cats and she came over twice a day while I was out of town. Both of my girls are very shy towards new people, but Emily was able to get them out and playing on her first visit…she is definitely a cat whisperer! She sent so many great video and photo updates too, which made me feel at ease knowing they were happy and in great hands. On top of that, Emily is such a lovely person - so kind, very trustworthy, and cared for my babies and my home like they were hers. Thank you so much Emily, you’re a gem!
Once again, highly recommend Emily! She is everything you hope for when trusting someone with your pup - reliable, communicative, and caring. Thanks, Emily!
Emily was fantastic. Great communication, responsible, and highly attentive to our pup's every need. Definitely recommend. Thank you, Emily!
We had a great experience with Emily! Throughout our trip, she kept in touch with us via text and sent daily photos of our cat and dog. Our pets were happy and well cared for during her visit. I'd happily work with Emily again and recommend her to anyone in the area.

When I am at my parents house, we have a fenced in yard for our dog. I will only ever walk dogs on a leash, which is for my safety and the dog's. During the summer, I test the temperature of the pavement before taking dogs for a walk, so they won’t hurt their paws. When walking dogs, I prefer to stay away from other animals that are being walked, to avoid any possible animal fights. That is my personal preference, and I will only take a dog to a dog park if it is medicated for flea and ticks, and the animal does well with others. I am respectful of all animals' boundaries, so I would like to know any of your pets' preferences (example: no rubbing their face).
Information Emily R. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know what breed of dog it is. I don't have any preferences, but I do like to keep the dogs under 100lbs just so that I know I can handle them. I am a smaller person, (120lbs) so I will not take on dogs that can easily overpower me, unless they’re well behaved. Otherwise, I love dogs of all shapes and sizes!
A typical day
I love to take long walks with dogs! Even a light jog (if I can handle it haha). I love playing fetch and can provide light training for dogs! For cats, I love playing with toys and running around with them! With my cat, we chase each other around my house and will play stimulating games.
