A huge dog lover to spoil yours!

Pet care experience

Hi, I'm Emily. I love all dogs and will give yours all the attention and care they deserve while you are away. I have grown up with dogs for most of my life, and when I moved to England to study several years ago and was unable to have a dog of my own, I eased my deprivation of dogs by regularly sitting for neighbors, with whom I've formed great relationships and loved their dogs as if they were my own. Now that I have moved back, and have plenty of flexible hours for house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, I'm excited to form new working relationships and friendships with you and your dogs. I am responsible, caring, and respectful of your rules and expectations for your dog and home. Most of all, I love making dogs feel comfortable, safe, happy, and secure even when you are not there to do it for them. Availability: *Due to high demand, I now only accept bookings within 0.5 miles of my home. **11-3pm on weekdays are my busiest time, so at this time I am no longer taking regular clients between these hours. Rates and Pricing: *Boarding rates cover a 12-hour overnight period (typically 8pm-8am), PLUS one midday walk. Any extra drop-ins or walks are 10% off the usual rate. **House sitting rates cover a 12-hour overnight period (typically 8pm-8am). Any drop-ins or walks outside of that 12-hour period are 10% off the usual rate. House sitting does not include a free midday walk. ***Rates for all services are full price for one dog, but 50% off for each additional dog. Emily is amazing - she is organized, kind, and had been wonderful to work with each week! She helped walk our 3 year old Boykin spaniel several mornings a week and some evenings as well for the past 5 months. Emily was great about always communicating, and very patient with us even when we had schedule changes or had to confirm walks at the last minute. She takes an incredibly professional approach to dog walking, and I appreciated that she took the time to meet with us before the first walk to learn our dog’s routine and training commands. Emily is one of the best dog walkers we have ever had, and we are so sorry to be moving! Our dog loves her and we will miss her very much! We cannot recommend Emily highly enough, and are so glad we got to be her clients! ❤️🐶

Emily is an amazing cat sitter! She’s communicative, thoughtful, thorough and accommodating. I always know my kitties are in good hands when she’s checking on them.

As always Emily was fantastic! This was our first time having Emily do overnights with Rella while we were away. I can’t express enough how happy we were with our experience. Emily provided us with consistent updates and photos during her time with Rella which we really appreciated. I would always recommend Emily, the service and attention she provides is unmatched!

Information Emily R. would like to know about your pet

Your dog must be up to date with vaccinations and treated for flea and ticks. If possible, I would like to meet with you before I first look after your dog to get to know them a bit beforehand. Important things I like to know include: how your dog gets along with other dogs/people; any particular anxieties or phobias your dog may have; rules, routines, or training regimens you have for them (e.g., getting them to sit before going outside or eating, places they are not allowed in the house, etc.); any trouble they tend to get into that you'd like me to look out for (digging in the yard, for example); and any past or present medical/health issues, as well as medication needed. I also like to meet your dog ahead of time with you so that I'm not a stranger when I come to see them without you there.

A typical day

Having worked with young and active dogs in the past, I know that plenty of exercise is key to a happy and healthy dog, and am used to providing this for them. I would love to take walks around your neighborhood, run and play with them in your yard, or take them to a park nearby for a walk or run. I aim for a minimum of 30 minutes walking a day, whether I am doing a drop-in visit or staying with your dog for longer. Of course, if your dog is unable to walk for long periods of time or if they require more exercise than this, I can be flexible and we can work out what kind of exercise is best for your dog.
