Your pup will be tired and happy!

Pet care experience

The skills and love I gained from being a foster parent for several years have transferred over to my personal life, leaving a well rounded approach to how I engage with dogs. Having a border collie for the past year helped me understand what "a tired dog is a good dog" truly means, and I am happy to help any dog meet their energy requirement while you're away at work or out of town. I love playing with toys, games, regular exercise, and mental stimulation when around pups. I'm available most days with enough of a heads up and am happy to be flexible in general. Not only that, but I've also had a dog as a constant in my life at home or volunteering at shelters, shadowing at vet clinics, etc. which has only made my love for them larger as time has gone on so you will always know your dog is in good hands. Dogs are one thing in the world I am overtly passionate about.

In my opinion Emily would be a great fit for this program because she cares passionately for animals, especially dogs, and I felt comfortable trusting her with my border collie whenever I wasn’t around (having been roommates). Any time there is a dog around she is the happiest person and I think she would be a good addition to the team with enthusiasm

Emily is an animal enthusiast and she has always shared a wealth of love for animals especially her dogs. she cares for them in extraordinary ways by feeding and loving them and treating them with the utmost care and concern! I would highly recommend Emily she can always be counted on Andy will love and care for your pet as much as she does for her own! Emily is always responsible in all aspects and I would allow her in my home or anyone’s else’s without reservation!

She is an animal lover always striving for the utmost care and happiness for every furry friend she comes in contact with. A dog lover to the extreme, she has fostered animals, shadowed at vet clinics, and advocates for the wellbeing of all animals. Calm, well natured, understanding of dog’s specific needs and loves spending time with pups as much as they love spending time with her

Information Emily P. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to ask if there's anything I should know about them, especially if taking them on a walk. Any allergies or health problems. No breed preference.

A typical day

If there's a designated dog park or trail, those are my go to's but I also like letting the dog explore new sights and smells - wherever the wind takes us (within the constraints time will allow of course). A walk around the block, down the street to get ice cream, in the woods, down by the water, whatever is close by and intriguing. Games could include tug-of-war, hide and seek, tag, fetch, drilling new tricks, walking to get a new toy, etc.
