Pet care experience
***I will be moving to Wyoming soon so I am only available until November 17th, 2017*** In May I graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science. I then moved to Logan, UT to live with my boyfriend. I am working as a trainer at Puppy Steps Training in Clarkston, UT (unavailable for overnight sitting Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday nights). I am an expert chuck-it thrower and gaining experience with a frisbee as well (my Heeler may beg to differ). I have two dogs that I have trained myself, one I rescued (German Shepherd) and one I raised (Blue Heeler). I have participated in many obedience classes with them as well as beginners agility. I am fully aware that not all dogs are the same and different techniques are needed to make each one feel comfortable with me. I have experience with dog aggressive dogs as well as fear aggression towards other dogs or people. Feel free to ask me any questions! Thanks (:

We love Emily! Not only is she very professional she is just so sweet and I know she takes care of my little guy on their weekly walks!
We have known Emily since she was 7. Which is when we got our dogs. Originally our dogs took care of her pulling her on a sled in the snow. As she grew, Emily began to take the dogs on walks, play games with them and watch them when we were traveling. Once she got her driver's license she would take them to the dog park. Our male Sam became very protective towards her and tried to ward off male suitors. Even at the age of fourteen he gets really excited when he sees Emily. Emily is very loving to all animals and gives them special attention. We wish she still lived in the neighborhood so she could watch Sam when we travel.

Please let me know of any possible behavioral issues or fears your dog may have. For example, if they are afraid of cars I will do my best not to walk them right alongside the road. No breed preferences, I am open to all breeds!
A typical day
I am unable to host your dog at my house, but I am willing to do what I can to accommodate them at your house. I can take your dog on a walk in a location that you prefer (just tell me where!) or I can take the dog to any location I may know of (park, beach, hike, etc). I would love to play fetch with your dog! If they are not trustworthy off leash with a stranger, I can provide a long line (long rope leash) that way they can chase the ball while I have still control of them.
